Congratulations to Mrs. Blackmore/Cossin’s class and Mrs. Hoefer’s class for winning Mrs. Graham’s membership contest! Each class was asked to turn in a letter, written by the students, explaining to Mrs. Graham why they should have her membership credited to their class. It was a tough decision, so Mrs. Graham decided to give two classes the credit since she enrolled both herself and her husband for PTA membership.

Excellent schools are created through the dedication of principals, teachers, staff and parent members who are passionate about student success. Del Cerro Elementary is just such a school. We are the proud recipients of the California Distinguished School Award thanks to the joint efforts of our teachers, staff, students, and PTA.

Parents who are willing to get involved are a valuable resource for starting and maintaining programs and projects to benefit our children. PTA provides the platform on which to build a team of individuals to work on the behalf of all children. Membership does not require attendance at PTA meetings, but any member is invited, welcomed and encouraged to attend. Help us reach our goal of 100% membership by printing and filling out the form below and turning it into your youngest child’s homeroom teacher not later than October 19^th.

All classrooms achieving 100% membership will receive a special party once this goal is reached. All classrooms achieving 80% will receive a consolation party.

Who can be members? Any adult! So ask your aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, neighbors and friends!
