The Del Cerro staff is being trained in and beginning the
implementation of Love and Logic. Love and Logic is a method of working
with students which was designed by Jim Fay, a former elementary school
principal, and Dr. Foster Cline, child psychologist.
Love and Logic techniques are designed to put the control of the
classroom in the hands of the teacher and increase students’ time on
task, raise the level of student responsibility, teach students to think
for themselves, and prepare students to function effectively in a world
filled with temptations, decisions, and consequences. You will hear more
about the program in the coming months as we formulate our plans and
implement our ideas.

Love & Logic Spring Seminar
We wanted to let everyone know about the Love & Logic seminar that
will be held this spring so you can save the dates on your calendar.
This is a six week, in depth, seminar designed to help parents implement
Love & Logic skills into their family life. Both parents are encouraged
to attend, so babysitting will be available. Look for details to come
home with your child this spring.
The seminar will be on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on
the following dates: April 7, 14, 21, 28, May 12 and 19.
